Wine By Producers: Chateau Beau Site Haut Vignobles
Famous for its more powerful Left Bank wines this St Estèphe property is atop one of the highest points of the appellation.
The vines benefit from cooling coastal breezes to give freshness to the fruit, while the enhanced drainage to ensures the vines work hard, giving complexity in flavour. In the meantime the famous gravelly soils assist in the ripening of the fruit, especially the thicker-skinned Cabernet Sauvignon berries.
Owned and managed by two generations of the Braquessac family the 18th century cellars of Beau-Site Haut-Vignobles then provide the perfect maturing conditions for a wine produced with the same meticulous care and attention as if it were a Grand Cru Classé.
